Thank you for your continued patronage of the Mitsubishi general-purpose PLC MELSEC-FX/A/QnA Series.

The year 2000 problems include correctly recognizing the year before the year 1999 and after the year 2000,

and compensating the date in a leap year.

We have provided information on the year 2000 problem for the MELSEC-FX/A/QnA Series PLC GPP function

software package and related software packages in the Technical Bulletin first issued in October 1998, and the

revision Version A issued in July 1999. The details have been partially added and revised, as indicated in this

revision Version B.

The symptoms and measures for this software package are described assuming that the personal computer

(including OS and driver) is a model compatible with the year 2000. If the personal computer, etc., is not yet

compatible with the year 2000, contact the personal computer maker and take measures.

There is no particular problem regarding the year 2000.

(2) Other precautions for specifications

1) PLC error history display

The date of error occurrence is handled with the "YY.MM.DD" format, and the year is displayed with the last

two digits. Thus, the error that occurs in the PLC date year 00 (year 2000) will be displayed as follows. The

date is displayed correctly after the error history occurring in the year 1999 and earlier.

Example : January 1, 2000 00.01.01 (YY.MM.DD)
